The first part, consisting of chapters 1-3, is an introduction to the mathematical framework and the fundamental results of Classical Mechanics, while the second part, consisting of chapters 4-6, is devoted to the formalism of Quantum Mechanics and a discussion of some basic examples of quantum mechanical systems. The two parts can be read independently.
The main focus of the notes is on theoretical/mathematical developments, extending and supplementing the content of more standard physics courses on the same topics.
Standard courses on calculus and linear algebra should be adequate prerequisites for reading the notes.
